I Just Couldn’t Wear a White Dress to Meg’s Wedding!

June 2, 2010

Isn’t it against the rules or something? I bought a white dress for a steal and decided to turn it green!

Step 1 Buy a fabulous white dress

Step 2-5 Pick a color, any color… How about Green? Boil water on stove, add dye and dress. Boil for 45 minutes.

Step 6 Drain, rinse and wash in washing machine.

Step 6 Marvel at the results!

  1. Love the green!

  2. this made me laugh; I bought a hideous striped skirt on sale once; I bought some black RIT dye and dyed the skirt and it wore it for years afterward. you could barely see the stripes; it was kind of a tone on tone thing.

also: I dyed a silk scarf once and gave it to my step mother and she loves it

and I’m wearing a black dress this weekend to Lydia’s wedding, but it’s a barn/country thing so I’m going to have to add color somehow.
